2017 MONTANA Advanced Placement®
Summer Institute

AP® Summer Institute workshops are directed by exemplary teacher presenters who have been selected for this work by the College Board. Full presenter biographies, workshop syllabus development guides, supply lists, and schedules are available. Course and exam descriptions have been linked to each subject area listed below - click to access.
The AP® Summer Institute will help Montana high schools and teachers implement and build quality AP® programs that:
- foster student engagement
- develop college/career ready students
- prepare students for success on AP® assessments
Plan to participate if you:
- plan to teach an AP® course in the near future
- are currently teaching an AP® course and want to hone your skills
- serve as a distance learning facilitator for an AP® course through Montana’s Digital Academy or other provider
- want to upgrade your marketability in the teaching profession
Due to low enrollment we are now offering the following two subject areas ONLY:

Each workshop is limited to 30 participants**. The COSTS of the Institute are:
- Early bird rates: $500 participant tuition until April 25th, 2017; after this date the cost increases to $525. Please note that tuition for out of state AP® Summer Institutes starts at $650 and may run upwards of $750.
- Tuition includes lunches all four days. Travel and lodging are not included.
- Two graduate credits from MSU are available for $135.
- There is no additional cost for the 30 renewal units through OPI.
Each workshop participant will receive WORKSHOP MATERIALS on a USB drive. A variety of applicable textbooks, handouts, and other resources will be available for review and, in some cases, will be distributed to participants.
