For Girls Ages 5 - 18
July 30th to August 3rd, 2017 at the University of Vermont
Green Mountain Development,in conjunction with the Vermont State Amatuer Hockey Association, is proud to announce our 7th annual GMD Girls Hockey School ages 5 - 18 at the University of Vermont.
Our camp is designed for players who have aspirations of taking thier game to the next level. We provide a superior coaching staff and an intense structured camp format that focusses on the necessary fundamental skills -- Skating, Passing, Shooting, & Puck Control as well as Offensive and Defensive team concepts.
Our on-ice instructors are current and former Olympic, NCAA D-I, D-III & High School coaches. They are supported by our staff counselors who are current and recently graduated FEMALE NCAA players. Special guest coaches MAY include those from the Women's Olympic and professional men's ranks.
There will be NO BOARDING option at UVM in 2017

Campers in Group 2 must be entering grades 9 through Post Grad in the 2017-2018 academic year

We expect many of last years coaches to join us again!
-- GMD Hockey School is focused on Individual Skill Development
-- Player Evaluations will be Sunday July 30th
-- Small player groups according to age & skill level
-- Each Ice Session is 50 minutes
-- Power Skating, Passing, Shooting, Puck Control/Protection
-- Small Area Competitive Games
-- Approx. 7 to 1 player to coach ratio
-- Goalies will receive specific goalie instruction
-- Over 3.5 hours of ice time per day
-- Group 1 On-Ice: Individual skill development: Power Skating, Passing--Forhand, Backhand, Saucer/Flip, Shooting--Forhand, Backhand, Wrist, and Snap-techniques, Puck Control--Protection
-- Group 1 Off-Ice program: Athletic activities in a hockey setting
-- Group 2 On-Ice: Individual skill development: Power Skating--Agility/Speed/Quickess, Passing direct/indirect & support, Shooting--slap/snap/tips & screens, puck protection--1 on 1, 1 vs. 2, Team Play--offensive zone entry, breakouts, defensive zone positioning
-- Group 2 Off-Ice program: Learn the basics of fitness training for hockey & Yoga
