"Soaring To New Heights"

The District School Board of Pasco County's PLACE Program, invites you to join other afterschool providers for a day of comprehensive professional development opportunities.  You will select from a variety of workshops focusing on topics that are important for administration, site based management or front line direct care providers.  View the latest in resources and meet vendors in the exhibit area, network and interact with your peers and colleagues while enhancing your knowledge of common interests and challenges in the profession of school age child care.

Your registration includes the full day of workshops, lunch, free exhibit area, fabulous opening and Keynote speakers and other fun activities sprinkled throughout the day!  Training certificates will be provided for each registrant at the conclusion of the days activities and CEU's will be available for a nominal fee.  This is a day you don't want to miss.

Opening Presentation

Prepare for Take-Off as PLACE Specialist, Matthew Koshko makes sure you are geared up and ready for your flight.

Matthew Koshko has been with the PLACE Program for over 9 years and is ready to pass on his enthusiasm for learning with all participants; no flight attendants needed! While he may not be able to fly a plane, he will do his best to make your imaginations soar.  Make sure your trays are in an up-right position as the fasten seat belt signs will be turned off during this presentation.  You are encouraged to laugh, cheer, and plot your course for this journey into learning a little more about what you are capable of in both professional and personal growth.

In this presentation, make sure you are "In it to Win It" with some games and fun activities which will get you up and moving.  Are you good at karaoke?  Perhaps dancing is more of your thing.  Either way, you will learn so much about yourself and your peers as we launch into this fabulous day of learning.

Keynote Speaker

Lt. Col. (ret.) Rob 'Waldo' Waldman- The Wingman- is a Hall of Fame leadership speaker, executive coach, and author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal best seller, Never Fly Solo.  He teaches organizations how to build trusting, revenue producing relationships with their employees, part

ners, and customers while sharing his experiences as a combat decorated F-16 fighter pilot and businessman.

He is a highly experienced combat veteran with over 2,650 flight hours and sixty-five real world combat missions, having flown both in Iraq enforcing the "No-Fly Zone" and in Yugoslavia during Operation Allied Force in 1999.  Some of his military honors include five Air Medals, two Aerial Achievement Medals, four Air Force Commendation Medals, and two Meritorious Service Medals.

Waldo overcame massive claustrophobia and a fear of heights to become a fighter pilot and believes that the key to building a culture of trust lies with your wingmen- the men and women in your life who help you to overcome obstacles, adapt to change, and achieve success.  In business and life, you should never fly solo!

Waldo is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and also holds an MBA with a focus on Organizational Behavior.  He is an inductee into the Professional Speaker Hall of Fame, a prestigious award that honors speakers who have reached the top echelon of platform excellence, and has been bestowed on less than 190 speakers worldwide.  He is also a Certified Speaking Professional and his clients include Hewlett Packard, Verizon, New York Life, Siemens, The Denver Broncos, and Johnson & Johnson.

In addition to his speaking business, Waldo is also founder and President of The Wingman Foundation, a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to build funds and awareness for soldiers, veterans and their families in need.
