Discuss your past and present marketing trials and triumphs in an all-day round-table discussion with your peers! Use this time to discuss everything from best practice with content management and marketing plans to public information officer training, design tips, prioritizing, and more...
This day has been designed first of all, for you to get to know one another better, and secondly, to exchange ideas and best practice about public relations and marketing. Something that has been driving you crazy (for example, being told by your administration that you have to advertise in all the Yellow Page booklets even if it eats up almost your entire budget) may be answered by another hospital that went through exactly the same thing...and found a way to fix it!
It's very important we have representation from as many hospitals as possible to make both lively, and more importantly, effective and meaningful communication and best use of our day together! It is also a goal to determine the slate of speakers/topics for our August in-person training that will most likely be accompanied by a wine tour and held in southern Illinois.
Lastly, we will have a representative from CMFI, a brand logistics firm from Peoria, present information on their apparel and other logo brand services. They are currently offering the capability to create a portal on your website to sell your hospital's logoed merchandise. You can have all orders funneled through you or if you are looking for a timesaver, orders can circumvent you altogether.
The agenda for the day will include, but is not limited to:
10-10:30 am Welcome and open discussion on content management How do you come up with unique content people want to read? How do you use your content? Has anyone used video for storytelling purposes? How expensive was it? How do you use testimonials?
10:45-11:30 am Marketing Plans - Do you have a marketing plan? If so, what does it entail? How are you fiscally responsible? What mediums do you feel work best and why? What mediums are you pulling money from and why? Digital - what are you doing and do you feel it is effective?
11:30 am-Noon CMFI Representative Cindy Perdun will present information on the creation of a portal to assist you with hospital apparel purchases, ensuring the logo is made to specification and the product is quality, taking the burden off you to order and distribute everything.
Noon-1 pm CMFI Representative Cindy Perdun will have a booth at the event for those that wish to ask further questions. Lunch will be provided at this time.
1-1:30 p.m. Public Information Officer - What training have you taken? What do you do to prepare? Have you had to actually use it?
1:30-2 pm Design - What programs do you use to make your advertisements? Any advice on trainings?
2:15-2:45 pm Organization - What tips do you have to stay organized? How do your prioritize what to work on first?
2:45-3 p.m. What does your Admission Folder/Discharge Folder look like (bring a sample to the meeting)
There is no cost to attend the event, but registration is necessary for lunch count purposes. Again, this event is NOT being held in Peoria. The venue has been changed to the Illinois Education Association, 3440 Liberty Drive, Springfield, IL. For more information, contact Stephanie Cartwright at 815.875.2999 or email@example.com.
