International Women's Day Breakfast
with Ginny Dybenko

We invite you to celebrate International Women's Day with delicious breakfast, fabulous company, opportunities to discuss ideas with our break-out session experts, and inspiring Life Lessons with Ginny Dybenko.

Ginny is the Executive Director of the University of Waterloo Stratford campus, a unique and highly successful think-tank, integrator and academic institute devoted to collaboration between digital media, international commerce and culture.

Ginny came to her previous role of Dean of the School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, after a successful corporate career including a number of senior executive roles in Bell Canada and a high tech telecommunications start-up, and was the founding President and CEO of Bell Advanced Communications.

Ginny was named 2013 Governor General’s Barn Raiser Award recipient and is a member of SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada), CPA (Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario), Quarry Communications, Social Venture Partners, investStratford and the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony boards.  Ginny was recently recognized by the Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women and was honoured to be one the speakers for TEDxUW.

After Ginny's keynote talk, attendees will have the opportunity to attend two out of four 25 minute break-out sessions with local experts:

1. Shannon Stewart – Covet Consignment

Dress for success, while spending less!  Shannon will offer attendees advice on how to shop for business attire on a budget.  Highlighting easy pieces to integrate into your wardrobe and help you discover your fit and style that won’t break the bank.

2. Sarah Smithers – Wills & Prior

Sarah will bring her exciting decor background to the table when she helps attendees uncover their inner designer.  She’ll help us with tips and tricks for styling our homes and work spaces while remaining budget conscious, and still maintaining your personal style.  Sarah will be opening her decor and gift store in downtown Stratford, Wills & Prior, in the spring of 2017.

3. Meghan Marshall – Perth Community Futures

Meghan will be teaching the attendees how to manage their financials, for both business and home.  She will be offering insightful steps to help keep the bottom line in check, while still allowing us to do more with less money.

4. Holly Mortimer – Stratford Perth Centre for Business

Holly will be bringing the attendees her experience at “Having more, while doing less”.  She will outline the steps to take to set personal and professional goals, achieve them and elevate yourself to a new level of bravery.  Having faith in your abilities and being brave will be the foundation for her session.

Upon registering, please indicate which two break-out sessions you would like to attend.

Your hosts for this event are the Zonta Club of Stratford, the Stratford Perth Centre for Business and the CFDC Chamber Ladies Learning Group (Chamber of Commerce and Perth CFDC).

Tickets are just $30 and breakfast is included. Proceeds of this event support the various projects of the Zonta Club of Stratford, including bursaries for young women entering engineering, sciences or skilled trades, birthing kits for impoverished countries, teen esteem program at local schools, and a victim services poster project so that local women in danger know who to call for help.
