The SBA's New ALL-SMALL Mentor-Protege Program: What EVERY Government Contractor Should Know!

On October 1, 2016, the Small Business Administration (SBA) starting accepting applications into the recently expanded Mentor Protégé Program, which was previously only open to 8(a) socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses.  This is one of the most significant changes in government contracting in more than 10 years!

Now ALL OTHER SMALL BUSINESSES can participate in the SBA’s Mentor Protégé Program and take full advantage of Joint Venturing and other Business Development Opportunities previously only available to 8(a) businesses.

These new SBA regulations also open up opportunities to large business contractors (as Mentors).  Importantly, under this program SBA-approved Mentors can provide assistance and resources to Protégés (and joint venture with them for set-aside procurements) WITHOUT any affiliation concerns.

Join our next workshop on Tuesday, February 16, at the Tower Club, Vienna VA, to learn the details of this new program

During this training session, Brad Reaves, Government Contracts Attorney and expert in the SBA’s Programs and Regulations, will explain – in plain language – how to take advantage of the NEW Small Business Mentor Protégé Program. Brad will explain how to create a Mentor Protégé Agreement that complies with the regulations, and he will provide attendees with all the information they need to prepare and apply for the Small Business Mentor Protégé Program. Brad will also provide information on Joint Venturing requirements which allow a Large Mentor and a Small Protégé to Joint Venture together on set-aside contracts.

Register now and bring your colleagues! Fee is $195 each. Seating limited.
