Learn to Skate

It's time for RW&B registration! The Wisconsin Figure Skating Club invites students in area Learn to Skate programs to participate in our annual ice show – Red, White and Blades. All Learn to Skate students are encouraged to participate! You do not need to be a member of the Wisconsin Figure Skating Club. All performances and practices will be at The Pettit National Ice Center.

Show Dates and Times:

Friday, May 19 - 7:00pm

Saturday, May 20 - 2:00 pm and 7:00pm

Rehearsals:

Technical - Wednesday, May 17th, 6:00 pm (tentative)

Dress - Thursday, May 18th, 6:00pm (tentative)

Practice Dates:

The final practice schedule is not completed. There will be no practices from April 14th-April 22nd. There will also be no practice on Mother's Day, May 14th. After April 22nd practices will be in full swing. There may be a few practices the week of April 10th. That will depend on the number of skaters and the number of routines in the show.

It is very important that you attend all practices as communicated by your Practice Parent(s). All absences should be communicated as soon as possible to the Coach(es) and Practice Parent(s).

Volunteers

The success of the show depends on volunteers like you! At our first practice, we will discuss opportunities to help with the show. All parents are required to sign up for at least one hour for either set-up or take-down for the show.

Constant Contact allows only ONE registration per email address. Please verify that your registration is complete and accurate prior to submitting it. Any issues should be addressed with the Registration Contact (Emily Champagne, twobreyer@yahoo.com) PRIOR to the Registration Deadline. The Registration Deadline is Sunday, March 26 at 10:00pm.

Skaters will be able to watch the show only during dress rehearsal. During the performances on Friday and Saturday, skaters will be remain in the locker room area except during intermission. During intermission skaters may be with family and friends.

This year we would like at least 2 parents to remain in the locker room during the show to assist the skaters.

Also, this year you will be asked to purchase the costume your skater will wear. Your registration fee will include the costume. Skaters will wear their own leotards and leggings or slacks. Skaters will keep their costumes.
