Accidents involving brush chippers are a significant concern for tree care and landscape employers, the employees who operate the equipment, and manufacturers alike.

This Chipper Operator Safety course is designed to train tree care employees in hazards, as well as accepted practices for brush chipper operation and other associated tasks.  The course will increase employee involvement with overall safety compliance.

The course covers hazard awareness and procedures for hooking up, transporting, setting up, operating and maintaining a chipper, and includes classroom as well as hands-on training.

Attendees have the option to earn TCIA's Chipper Operator Specialist credential by passing the exam in the TCIA Chipper Operator Specialist manual (included with registration). The Specialist credential includes a certificate of completion, laminated wallet card, arm patch, and decal. Completing the exam is done at your own pace and is not part of the class.

Check-in begins at 8:00am and class is from 8:30am - 12:30pm.

Lunch will be provided by Bandit of Texas.
