What is Mindfulness Meditation
& How Can It Be Helpful in Your Life?

A free introductory talk
by Dr. Kate Partridge, Psychologist

Thursday March 9, 7- 8:30 pm
Westmount Public Library

About Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation is a simple, gentle, and effective mental training that is designed to bring the mind back to the present moment. Through training the
brain in this way, we create a spacious and compassionate relationship with ourselves and our experience. Thirty years of medical research have demonstrated that this practice has significant benefits to both physical and emotional health and resilience.

Mindfulness Meditation is free from any particular faith or religious belief.  It empowers you to work consciously and systematically with your own stress, pain, illness, and the challenges of daily life.

About This Talk
This introductory talk is designed to help you understand what Mindfulness Meditation is and how it can be beneficial in your life. It will include a brief meditation practice and a chance to ask questions.  You will also be able to buy a Meditation Training CD for $10.

This introductory talk is free, but it is important to pre-register on line because there is limited space.  If you have registered and are unable to come, please let Dr. Kate know as soon as possible, so your space can be given to someone else.

Dr. Kate Partridge
Mindfulness Meditation practice has transformed my life in a gradual, gentle but very positive way. It has made me passionate about wanting to share the practice with others.

For the past 30 years, I have presented seminars and workshops to organizations of all kinds, from large corporations to small non-profit groups.

In my private practice I focus on working with individual adults who wish to learn the practice of Mindfulness Meditation, for personal growth and/or for help in dealing with stress-related physical and emotional problems, anxiety, panic, depression and chronic pain.
