A Spring Gathering

THIS GATHERING IS BEING RE-SCHEDULED

FOR THE FALL OF 2017.

Please do NOT register for the event. We left the registration open so no one would show up and be disappointed.

Another invitation will be sent when we have found a new venue and new dates set.

Thank you for your interest. We hope to see you in the Fall.

Restoring the Lost Art of Story-Listening

Taking the time to discover our stories in the company of a loving other is increasingly rare in our networked, fragmented, and work-dominated society. Too seldom received, being listened to is a gift that helps us know ourselves as we narrate our lives to a person who cares, someone who listens.

Each of us needs to receive that gift and cultivate the capacity to extend it to others. Our communities, churches, and culture, too, are in serious need of this dangerously uncommon gift.  In religious terms, the gift of story-listening is a sanctifying, healing, and refining spiritual discipline.

Our spring gathering will be an opportunity for anyone on a spiritual path to explore the practices of a narrative spirituality. We will reflect on story-telling and story-listening as we immerse ourselves in these practices to deepen our self-understanding, prayer, and ministries.
