PURPOSE
The Third Annual 2017 Great Big JAM is a fun event for children, parents and grandparents that promotes family literacy and encourages children to engage in philanthropy. The JAM features a children’s author performance, crafts, balloon artists and face painters. Kids are invited to wear their favorite pajamas, enjoy breakfast and give back by bringing a pair of new pajamas for a disadvantaged young child served by ChildCareGroup.
PERFORMER
Chris Raschka is a two-time Caldecott Medal Winner and recipient of numerous awards and honors for his illustrations. He has been hailed by Publishers Weekly as one of the most original illustrators at work today, and continues to create stories and art that appeals to readers of all ages.
BENEFICIARY
The JAM benefits ChildCareGroup, a nonprofit organization celebrating more than 115 years of service to the Dallas community. CCG is committed to building a stronger community by providing services to children, parents and early childhood professionals to help lift two generations out of poverty. CCG provides services to more than 50,000 people each year.
