Engaging women in leadership roles

The Asia Pacific Gateway Skills Table (Skills Table) engaged WESTAC to examine the ongoing underrepresentation of women in transportation careers. WESTAC conducted interviews with over 30 women and men in the transportation sector. The goal was to understand the career paths of successful women and to identify barriers. The report will be made available before the roundtable.

On March 14, WESTAC will be facilitating a roundtable to explore how women can be engaged in leadership roles within the transportation industry. This half-day roundtable will focus on the findings of the research and attempt to identify strategies and initiatives to increase women’s participation in the transportation sector and its principal occupations.
