Foothills Landscape Collaboration Workshop - March 28-29, Gainesville

Join us for the second of four collaborative workshops focused on developing a plan that will be used to create a proposed action for the Foothills Landscape. This is a great opportunity to share your views, discuss ideas, and interact with member of the collaborative community and Forest Service employees. It is time to get on the bus again and enjoy another leg on our collaborative road trip. Even if you haven't participated yet, there's still plenty of room on the bus!

This workshop will be held on March 28 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and on March 29 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the North Hall County Community Center at 4175 Nopone Road, Gainesville, GA 30506.

Because we value and respect your time, we are working to structure the workshop so that the two days build upon one another but are independent. So if you attend one and not the other, your contribution will be meaningful and add value to the project. This also gives the option of attending the workshop during the day or evening (or both), depending on your work/life schedules.

During this workshop we will narrow the focus of the project by determine the greatest needs for restoration from Workshop I. We will create restoration goals using the identified needs for restoration. The restoration goals are intended to turn the restoration needs into specific, practical, reasonable and measurable statements. The goals will frame what the Collaborative Community will recommend in Workshop III and IV. The workshop will include a mix of presentations and discussion sessions.
