A Male at Dusk Photo Credit: Amir Ghazanfari

Hummingbirds are among one the most unique birds in the class of Aves, if not the only one. They are a major pollinator in the ecosystem and have co-evolved with specific ornithophilous plants in the American content.

To mutually benefit from the presence of these very beautiful and energetic birds and continual visitation to our immediate environment, a few experimentally proven facts will be discussed to plant accordingly.

Amir Ghazanfari, a biologist and a researcher, has been studying and monitoring Ruby-Throated Humming bird, in the state of Massachusetts, for the past decade.
