Bikes & Blues

We're partnering with Visit Thomson GA and the Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival to bring you Bikes & Blues. Hometown Warrenton's 12th Annual Cycle Tour is harmonizing along side of the 24th Annual Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival! We have two routes for avid ramblers: Statesboro Blues (25 mi) and Broke Down Engine Blues (50 mi).

A discounted festival ticket is included with your registration fee!*

You also have the option of adding a discounted overnight stay at White Columns Inn when you register.

*If you already have a festival ticket and just need to register for the Cycle Tour,                  please give us a call (706.465.9604). Proceeds from the Cycle Tour go to children's  programming and fitness projects in Warren County.

ROUTES...Click here for maps

  • Statesboro Blues: 25 miles   Cycle through the less-traveled roads of McDuffie and Warren Counties. Stop a while at Wrightsboro Methodist Church, part of the Historic Rural Churches of Georgia Trail. Lots of photo ops, and we'll have snacks for a pick-me-up and facilities for rest & comfort. You should have plenty of time to ride this route and catch the openers at the festival.
  • Broke Down Engine Blues: 50 miles   Let's just hope your engine doesn't break down on this challenging route. We've picked some spots along the way for you to stop, replenish, and enjoy the scenery. We hope you have a little time to catch some nice scenery before jumping back into the saddle to make it back to the festival for the opening act.
