Explore the roots of horticulture in Massachusetts with a Mass Hort guided tour of Plimoth Plantation.
The gardens and grounds of Plimoth Plantation bring to life the earliest horticultural practices among the Native Americans of Massachusetts and the earliest group of immigrants known today as Pilgrims. Join us for a tour of the 17th century gardens and landscapes of Plymouth. Together we will explore the garden history and world view, of the two groups who forever defined a what a sense of place means in our shared regional landscape.
Participants will enjoy a guided tour period gardens ranging from Wampanoag fields and landscapes and Colonial raised bed gardens, to Olmsted firm estate era landscapes.
