HR 101:  Key Issues and How to Solve Them

In this introductory seminar, a local Paychex Human Resource professional will present foundational knowledge on 10 key human resource issues that business owners face in today's heavily regulated business environment, and steps business owners can take to solve each issue. Some of the topics that will be covered include: creating accurate job descriptions, filing out Form I-9 correctly for new employees, proper employee classification, the application of overtime rules, and the use of handbooks.

This workshop is sponsored by SCORE Boston, Paychex, and the Harvard iLab, and will be presented by local Paychex prepresentatives Susan Woltersdorf and Jim Hoog.

Susan Woltersdorf is an HR Consultant and will celebrate her 13th anniversary at Paychex in May this year. She has 17 years of HR experience and holds a Professional in Human Resources certificate from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and is a HR Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).  

James Hoog is an HR professional with over 20 years of professional HR experience in both private and government entities. James is a Qualified Mediator and Federally trained EEO Investigator.
