Building Blocks for Youth Success in the Trades

Efforts to inform and attract youth to the skilled trades must be accompanied information about what it takes to be successful. At this session, we will look at three competency areas that young people must develop on the path to trades certification - essential skills, technical skills and employability skills - and brainstorm ways the apprentice community can better ensure parents and educators know what it takes to excel as an apprentice.
