In conjunction with the 63rd Annual International Education Conference in Anchorage, Alaska, the Right of Way International Education Foundation (RWIEF) and the Canadian Right of Way Education Foundation (CRWEF) are hosting their 21st Annual Golf Tournament. The Denali Classic will be held at Anchorage Golf Course on June 13, 2017.  Anchorage Golf Course is the top rated public golf course in the Anchorage area, and is located approximately 20 minutes away from the host hotels and convention center.

The Anchorage Golf Course located on the lower hillside of South Anchorage, is a 6600 yard, public 18-hole course. Designed by renowned golf course architect, Bill Newcomb, the course is framed by the magnificent views of the Chugach Mountain Range, the Anchorage city skyline, Cook Inlet, and Mt. McKinley.

The tournament is limited to 144 participants, and all proceeds are donated to the Education Foundations. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. with use of the range as well as chipping and putting contests before the 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. tee time. (Tee time will be confirmed soon). The fee to enter is $125 and includes green fees, golf cart, box lunch, beverages, and transportation to and from the conference host hotel.  Prizes will be given for closest to the pin on the par 3’s, long drive for both men and women, as well as the top 3 places.  A large raffle will also follow the event.

Rental clubs are available at a cost of $50 per set, and the course has enough to supply our entire field.  However, you must register and pay for the rental clubs through the tournament chair.  The golf course will not reserve rental clubs, they must be reserved through registration.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals, chapters or companies who wish to further support the goals of the Education Foundations. Sponsorships range from the Platinum level at $2500, to sponsoring individual holes for $300. All activities related to the tournament will be handled by the RWIEF, a 501-c-3 organization, which is a separate entity from IRWA.
