Virtual Reality in the Library Workshop

Virtual reality systems are increasingly prevalent, from inexpensive phone-based headsets to top-of-the-line computer-based systems. Join two librarians from Trails Regional Library to learn more about how you can incorporate VR into library programs for multiple age groups no matter your budget or technical know-how. Tips and tricks from successful programs will be discussed and attendees will have an opportunity to try out a range of systems and games.
Presenters:
Sara Evans is the Programming Coordinator for Trails Regional Library, providing training and support for programs in every age group throughout the 8-branch district.
Kyle Constant has worked in public libraries for about 10 years which have been split between branch management and his current duties developing and supporting digital services for Trails.
Both have coordinated VR programming for Trails in a variety of formats, including consumer-specific programs for teens and adults as well as game-based programs targeting preteens and teens.

- Non-Member: $70.00
MALA Workshop Billing/Refund/Credit Policy:
We prefer all workshops to be prepaid or paid at the door. If you prefer to be billed, please add $5. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the workshop date less a $5 administrative fee. You can transfer to another workshop a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the workshop date with no administrative fee. Cancellations made less than seven (7) days prior to the workshop date receive no refund or credit and you or your organization will be billed. No shows are billed to you or your organization.
