TEI Minnesota State Committee Presents: California Water’s  Edge Election  Update

 

Please join TEI Minnesota Chapter as we invite Paul McGovern from BDO to present: California Water's Edge Election Update. 

After nearly thirty years into the ability to make a California water’s edge election, taxpayers are still challenged by the application of its unique set of rules.  While the premise of the election appears simple, the mechanics of it require a review of the impact of recent tax law changes.  In this session, we will provide a short primer on what a water’s edge election requires in California.  Additionally, we’ll address issues such as the impact of market based sourcing, economic nexus and mergers and acquisitions on the water’s edge election.
