"Reflections From the Cockpit": A Talk by Israeli Air Force Surgeon General 

Col. Yifat Erlich-Shoham, MD, MHA, MA, has been the Surgeon General of the Israeli Air Force since 2015. Before this commission, she commanded the Aero-Medical Center, was the head of the Medical Classification and Occupational Medicine Branch at the IDF Surgeon General Headquarters, and served as commander of the clinical wards at Tel-Nof and Palmachim Air Force bases. She is currently in active service at the IAF Medical Evacuation and Rescue Unit.

Dr. Erlich-Shoham, a board-certified dermatologist and venereologist, earned her medical doctorate from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology (Haifa) and completed her residency at Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva. Prior to that, she earned a master's degree in health administration at Ben Gurion University in the Negev and graduated from the Israel National Defense College.
