Indian Trail Animal Hospital VET CAMP:

Summer Session 2017

Introduction to Veterinary Medicine

We love veterinary medicine and animal healthcare careers and want to share our knowledge with young people that are as passionate about animals as we are. Campers will learn about animal health and have lots of hands on experience.

Between Indian Trail Animal Hospital and Vet-REC:  Veterinary Rehabilitation and Exercise Clinic, we have 4 veterinarians and a wonderful support staff with a wealth of knowledge to share.  Our camp director has been working in the veterinary field for 5 years and is pursing a degree in education.  Camp kids love her!!  Each day will include hands-on activities building up to observation of the 'backstage' tour of the working hospital.

Campers Will:

  • be able to participate and view physical examinations and body systems including 'at home' tips!
  • be able to view and participate in canine rehabilitation techniques
  • have "Hands-on" activities and fun with animal guests
  • view X-Rays
  • learn about parasites
  • learn basic Pet First AID

Other activities include:

Arts and crafts, and games
