Garage Thin Traffic Coatings / Dealing with Condensed Schedules and Tricky Phasing

Typically no design consideration is given for future repairs when a garage is built.  This can lead to some very challenging hurdles to overcome when a portion of the garage needs to remain open during a repair and/or traffic coating installation. This is especially true around turning radii and ramps.

This seminar will focus on:

*techniques to speed up the repairs to allow for shorter, more manageable shutdowns

*technologies that are rapid curing to avoid shutdowns

*technologies that can be used to reduce frequency of repairs

Included will be a discussion regarding phasing, mechanical couplers, low moisture repair mortars, MMA’s/PUMA’s, and epoxy wearcourses. All of these considerations include cost implications which will need to be presented to clients to determine if the price premium is worth reducing disruption to residents/tenants/customers or in some cases is offset by losses to parking income that would be incurred in a longer project.
