Please join SCORE and the U.S. Small Business Administration in honoring the best small business owners and champions in Houston.
The event includes a workshop, an expo and celebratory luncheon. 
The keynote address will be delivered by Patrick Jankowski, a regional economist and Vice President of Research at the Greater Houston Partnership. He will discuss Houston’s International Economy, exporting and international trade in our city.
Mr. Jankowski and his team provide information gathering, data analysis, database management, economic forecasting and mapping functions for the Partnership's four divisions.
Master of Ceremonies: Al Lewis is business editor of the Houston Chronicle, leading a team of journalists covering business, energy, economics and finance in one of America's largest and most fascinating metropolitan areas.He has been a columnist for The Wall Street Journal Sunday, MarketWatch, Dow Jones Newswires and the Denver Post. He also formerly served as business editor of The Denver Post. And editor-in-chief of the South Florida Business Journal.
9am-11am. Metro Export Plan Forum. 

Gain a greater depth of understanding on the “nuts and bolts” of exporting and Houston’s robust export ecosystem. The forum will include a guest speaker, John Heimsath, President & CEO of ACM Logistics & Consulting Inc. (how to start exporting or increasing exports) and an expert panel, moderated by Josh Davis, Director, International Trade, Greater Houston Partnership). The forum will provide key perspectives on exporting from Houston’s international economy, and include: Mike Fadden, Certified Mentor, SCORE; Jordan Frisby, Economic Analyst, Port of Houston Authority; Karl Maier, Chair, Houston District Export Council; Richard Ryan, Director, Commercial Service Houston; Roberta Skebo; Deputy Director, Advising Operations, University of Houston Small Business Development Center; Molly Waits, Director of Air Service Development, Houston Airport System; Eric Miller, Regional Director, Office of Small Business, Exim Bank; Mark Winchester, Deputy District Director, U.S. Small Business Administration.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named Stuart A. Lynn the 2017 Houston District Small Business Person of the Year. Stuart A. Lynn is Founder and CEO of Lynn & Associates Engineering and Windstorm located in Bay City, Texas.
