Philadelphia City Institute Library present:
Did you know that JEVS helps people in our PCI Library? In recent months, this amazing 75-year-old private non-profit has organized free career workshops to help job seekers learn to write resumes, prepare for interviews, and appreciate the value of networking!
With a dedicated staff of about 900 people, JEVS Human Services offers dozens of programs that provide vocational training, counseling, and job placement for many disadvantaged and low income segments of the population including refugees, people with disabilities, high school drop-outs, and ex-offenders. JEVS also provides rehabilitation, in-home support, addiction, and residential services.
Nancy Astor Fox, the Chief Development Officer, and Katie Shinholster, Foundation and Corporate Relations representative will tell us about some of the programs, about some of the 35,000 individuals who receive help each ear, and about volunteer opportunities.
Thanks to FitC Member Bonnie Eisenfeld for organizing this program.
