11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT
At April's FEI-Louisville meeting, Bank of America Senior G10 FX Strategist John Shin provides his assessment on the economic road ahead.
"While the US dollar gyrates," he writes, "uncertainty remains with markets looking for more concrete legislation from the new Trump administration and the Republican Congress."
He says Brexit, upcoming European elections, looming trade disputes with China, and expectiations about U.S. fiscal, tax and trade policies are driving global markets.
Based in New York, John is responsible for the flagship monthly publication, World At A Glance. Previously, Shin was both a G10 FX strategist and a U.S. Economist at Lehman Brothers. He was also a postdoctoral research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and worked at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. Shin holds a doctorate in economics from Harvard University, and a B.A. in economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
