Ever since Robert Marzano and his research team published Classroom Instruction that Works, educators across the country have relied on its Nine Categories of Instruction as the “gold standard” of research. More recently, a team of researchers at McREL International updated Classroom Instruction that Works, using new research to confirm that the Nine Categories remain our “best bets” for delivering coherent instruction and raising student achievement.
But what many educators are looking for is the how. How do we adapt the generalizations in the research to plan and deliver coherent instruction? Joining Dr. Silver will be a renowned team of trainers and coaches from the Thoughtful Classroom and McREL. Dr. Silver and his team will introduce and model classroom-ready tools that align directly with the Classroom Instruction that Works framework.
