A RETREAT FOR SPOUSES OF ROSTERED MINISTERS OF THE FLORIDA-BAHAMAS SYNOD, ELCA

Can you SEE me?, a retreat for all spouses of rostered leaders of the Florida-Bahamas Synod at the Luther Springs Retreat Center - for all spouses of all Ministers of Word and Sacrament and Ministers of Word and Service. Because you deserve it! Because you need a break! Because often we're so busy that we forget to take time just to recharge. Our role is complex and truly needs to be supported. 

Nobody goes unnoticed by Jesus! For Jesus, there are no invisible people. You are not just some random protoplasm, wandering across this planet. You were created by Jesus as a divine original. Created by God who made a hundred billion galaxies. He knows you. He loves you. He has plans for you. In the words of the Bible, you are "God's handiwork". But that's only the beginning.

We will gather Friday evening for fellowship, getting acquainted and unwinding from our week. Our special guest presenter for the weekend is Valora Starr, Director of Discipleship for the Women of the ELCA. Valora brings warmth, humor and something for women and men alike. David Ludwig will provide music and Pastor Ellen Cross will preside over worship.

How do we as spouses become a full member of the faith community rather than an extension of the pastor? What is the role we play in the call God gives directly to our spouse? A response question to our question "Can you see ME?" could be "Who should I see?"

The registration fee that includes meals and lodging is $150 for a single room or $135 for a double room.
