Audiology Resources surveyed its approximately 5000 contacts and asked: "What are the topics you would most like to learn or hear more about in 2017"?  Well, we listened and created a special, one-day event solely focused on the most requested topics in coding, reimbursement, managed care and pricing.  This event will not talk about what "might happen" but will focus on how to assist audiologists in managing what they are currently experiencing when dealing with patients, new competition and insurance.

Respondents also requested that we couple the event to a national audiology meeting and that I speak in conjunction with the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) annual convention. You can learn more about the ADA convention at http://www.audiologist.org/events/audacity-2017/hotel-accomodations.

As a result, Kim Cavitt, AuD and Audiology Resources will be hosting a special, focused One-Day Boot Camp on Sunday, September 24 from 8AM to 5PM EST at the Mohegan Sun Resort. The course will run from 8AM to 5PM.  Breakfast, lunch and after meeting cocktails will be provided.

Hotel accomodations are available at the Mohegan Sun Resort for $159 per night.  You can book your room at http://www.audiologist.org/events/audacity-2017/hotel-accomodations.

Parking at the hotel is complementary. Mohegan Sun is within 45 minutes from Providence, Hartford and New Haven and just over 90 minutes to Boston. New York is just over 2 hours way. There is a free shuttle for registrants flying into Hartford or Providence.

The course will be worth .8 CEUs  (8 hours of continuing education).  CEUs will be offered and have been approved by the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).  AAA ABA Tier 1 credit will be available from this course. Please note: ASHA does not require that a program need to be approved by ASHA to count towards re-certification.  As a result, no ASHA CEUs will be offered.  You can learn more at http://www.asha.org/certification/maintFAQs/#do%20I%20have%20to%20earn.

The course is geared to audiology practices, otolaryngology practices which house an audiology department, hospital audiology departments or hearing aid dispensing practices which employ audiologists.  Registration is open to practice managers, audiologists, coders, office staff, hearing aid dispensers and AuD students.

The Boot Camp will address all of the following topics.  Dr. Cavitt will be available to answer attendee questions throughout the training event and will address attendee questions following the conclusion of the Boot Camp until April 1, 2018 at no additional charge.  This is included in the course fee.

Registration Information:

  • When registering for the training event, each attendee must register with a unique name and email address.  This is a CEU requirement.
  • If you are seeking AAA CEUs, you must include your AAA membership number in your registration.
  • Please let us know, in advance, if you require a certificate of attendance so we can have it prepared for you.
  • Please let us know, in advance, if you have any dietary restrictions or special needs.  We will try our best to be accomodating.
  • As we cannot recoup certain processing fees and, after a certain point, are locked into food and beverages costs that we cannot cancel, cancellation fees do apply. There is a cancellation fee of $25 per registrant if cancelled prior to August 25, 2017,  a fee of $75 per registrant if cancelled between August 25, 2017 and September 4, 2017, and no refund if cancelled after September 5, 2017.  There are no exceptions. Monies paid cannot always be applied to a future event but may be applied to a recorded event.
  • If the course is ultimately sold-out and your spot can be rebooked, these cancellation fees may be waived or reduced and refunds may be given.
