Boston SCORE Workshop: Financing Sources for Startups and Small Businesses 

An overview of financing sources for startups and small businesses that covers debt, equity and alternative options. A company may need to raise capital to get off the ground or to fuel growth, and understanding the options is crucial to determining the best funding mechanism.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Boston Chapter of SCORE and the Kirstein Business Library at the Boston Public Library, and presented by SCORE Mentor Riley Rodgers.  Riley Rodgers has mentored more than 100 start-ups over the last year as a volunteer for SCORE, MIT Enterprise Forum and MassChallenge. Riley is a Principal at Valia Investments and the founder of Crash Alert. Prior to Valia, Riley was an Associate at Arctaris Capital Partners and participated on several transactions and investment advisory projects. He is also a board member and mentor for several non-profits in New England.
