2017 Children's Mental Health Awareness Week Campaign!

"Finding Help, Finding Hope"

May 1-7, 2017

Become a School Hero

Each year we ask for help in raising awareness for children's mental health needs and enhancing our community outreach efforts.

We invite your organization to join as a School Hero to  make this year 's Children's Mental Health Awareness Week a success.  Only through partnership with organizations like yours can the campaign reach a diverse audience of families, caregivers, educators, and providers through many diffent channels.

Partner with the Campaign

Louisiana Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health have initiated a "Call to Action" to all stakeholders, requesting your participation in and support of this campaign.  Please consider having your school join our campaign.  By establising partnership with stakeholders and other concerned organizations, recognition of Children's Mental Health Awareness Week will be increased and enhanced.

School Hero Tasks

While each group has it's own communication tools and target populations, we are asking School Heroes to commit to the following tasks:

The Campaign is inviting Louisiana Schools to participate by becoming a Children's Mental Health Awareness Week School Hero.  Schools can participate by designating someone to be a School Hero Coordinator (or Team).  The School Hero Cooridnator will be responsible for organizing at least one awareness raising or educational event for your school during Awareness Week (May 1-7 2017).
