Week Two:  3D Character Forming

This week explores the realm of three dimension. Campers will practice building prototypes with various sculpting materials like, clay, wire, and paper mache and will work their way toward creating a three-dimensional character of their own.

 

Guest Artist - Kevin Reaves

Kevin C. Reaves, a metalsmith, sculptor, digital sculptor, and character and board game designer, has been designing toys and games for over 20 years.  His work has been featured in art shows nationally and internationally.  After earning his M.F.A. at ETSU, Kevin began focusing his attention on toys and board game design. His new work, which is primarily created digitally, has formed his business, "Robot World Toys".  Kevin is on target to publish his first board game during the fourth quarter of this year.

 *All camps are recommended for ages 7-13 and are held from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily. 

 

*Mixed Media Mania Art Camp is designed to allow campers to experiment with an array of artistic methods and mediums.  Each week of MMM is packed with fun right-brain activities and focuses on a different art medium.  Each week also features a professional guest artist who will share his or her art expertise!
