Please join us on Tuesday, May 9 at 1 p.m. for the release of the results of The State of the American Veteran: The San Francisco Veterans Study, the first comprehensive assessment of the Bay Area's
military community.
Launched last year, the USC survey polled more than 700 veterans to help identify opportunities for
program development, public policy and community collaboration in the Bay Area. The survey explored
such topics as employment, housing, health and well-being, and use of services.
Dr. Carl Castro and Dr. Sara Kintzle from CIR will present highlights from the survey. The event will also include remarks from local leaders discussing how business, government, and nonprofits can best use
the data to work together to help build effective veteran community networks, and implement strategies
for military-to-civilian-life transitions.
