Mid-Day Women's Alliance welcomes SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) Officers, Kelly Janssen, President, Nykki Milhaupt, President Elect, and Jay Stephany, Past President, as guest speakers at our April 19th luncheon meeting.
Negotiating equal pay for equal work – still not there! Each year, the month of April signifies the time it takes women to earn the same annual pay that males earn by December 31 of the previous year. Yes, there is still a pay gap for all full-time workers in the U.S. which shows women earning $.79 for every $1.00 their male counterparts earn.
What can be done?
We have assembled a panel of SHRM individuals to discuss with us strategies for women to negotiate equitable starting salaries as well as promotional opportunities and salary. Some of the topics that will be strategized include:
Time will be dedicated to questions and situations from the audience. Bring your questions and experiences on equal pay for equal work. No need to “hold back!”
