We've finalizing the last few details, and are very excited to give you a preview of what's to come:
Mayor George Fuller: Keynote Speaker at 5:30 pmWe are very pleased to announce that McKinney's Mayor, the Honorab le George Fuller, will offer our Keynote Address. Mayor Fuller is involved with many local non-profit organizations, and he and his wife, Maylee, are also the co-founders of the Love Life Foundation. Mayor Fuller will share his vision for education in McKinney and beyond.
Maan Hamdan: Education Unbound co-founder
Never before has our educational system been under so much pressure with so few financial resources. Demand for skilled workers who are well versed in science, technology, mathematics, and the ability to creatively problem-solve is growing rapidly. Unfortunately, many bright students are handicapped by crippling poverty and limited access to programs that would nurture their potential, allowing them to fill these positions in the future.
Education Unbound co-founder Maan Hamdan will offer a brief look at how the foundation came to be, insight into the partnerships we're building to further educational opportunities, and how we're touching students' lives with our scholarships and STEAM programs.
Weeda Hamdan: Painting It Forward
During our event, artist Weeda Hamdan's beautiful, evocative collection of oil and mixed media paintings: REFLECTIONS, Where The Most Common Places Become Uncommon, will be on display. Weeda will also briefly share the creative journey, process, and inspiration behind her paintings, and why she decided to paint it forward.
