Handmade India!

A Creative Cultural Immersion with Amy Butler & Sujata Shah


 

 

 

Join us in INDIA! We have three beautiful weeks planned that combine creative workshops with local artisans including embroidery, block printing, dying and hand painting pottery. We'll explore historic temples, palaces and forts and scour hand made markets for raw materials and treasures! Our home base will be the luxurious Trident Hotel and includes delicious meals, pool side relaxation and beautiful spa treatments. Each week has only 12 spots. If you would like to join us on this adventure, you will be in for a trip of a lifetime!

Here are some of the activities we have planned:

* Experience several workshops covering a variety of creative projects led by local artisans.

* Ride an elephant to the gates of the Amer Fort and explore the beauty of this 17th century masterpiece.

* Unearth keepsakes at the Daskatar Bazaar and other local treasure troves.

* Let all of your stress disappear at the hands of a skilled masseuse.

* Explore an ancient Stepwell and the regal apartments of the City Palace.

* Enjoy local wines and delicious meals at the Trident, Jaipur.

* View the world, as the royal women of bygone years did from the Hawa Mahal, the epitome of Rajputana architecture.

Once you have registered for your week, we’ll follow up with a more detailed itinerary with workshop descriptions and a small supply list. And, as our trip approaches, we’ll send you helpful information to prepare you for your adventure.

Accommodations:

All rooms at the Trident, Jaipur are double occupancy. If you don't have a roommate, we would be happy to find one for you.   

Payment Information:

The total cost to attend Handmade India is $3,975. This price includes most everything except airfare, transfers to and from airport, shipping purchased items to your home, most alcohol, spending money and tips.

A non-refundable deposit of $1325 is required to hold your spot. The remaining balance is due in two seperate payments of $1325. The first payment is due June 1, 2017 and the second on January 5, 2018. If you would like, a different payment schedule may be arranged.

Terms & Conditions:

Handmade India will cover a wide variety of experiences led by Amy and Sujata. There will be a small supply list for the week. Specifics will be shared with you well in advance of the trip.

Please be sure to check your calendar before you sign up for Handmade India. A $1325.00 cancellation charge will be applied to all refunds requested prior to October 1, 2017 due to transaction costs and administrative fees. For cancellations after October 1st, we will issue a full credit for a future workshop less the $1325.00 deposit. Arriving late or leaving Handmade India early, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of Handmade India.

Once your registration is confirmed you'll receive a full itinerary and waiver. Please note we must receive your signed waiver for you to be fully registered. The signed waiver must be received within 7 days of receipt.

Please note, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel this workshop offering up to six weeks in advance of the trip if in the unlikely event we do not have enough registrants, or less in the case of an act of God. If we have to cancel the workshop you will be refunded all workshop fees less administrative fees. Travel Insurance is recommended.

Participants therefore understand, acknowledge and agree that if they fail to pay the remaining $2650 due on the above-described dates, the initial deposit of $1325 shall be forfeited.

There are only 12 spots available for this exciting opportunity. They will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis with receipt of deposit used as the determining factor of registration. Once we have received your registration and deposit, you are in agreement with all the terms and conditions listed above.
