Threat assessment is the current best practice for preventing targeted violence, workplace violence, school violence, and stalking. Various federal guides, American national standards, and certain state laws recommend or even require threat assessment processes to be used in the workplace, schools, colleges/universities, houses of worship, healthcare settings, the military workplace, and against public figures and public officials. This day-long course teaches participants how to assess threats and other disturbing behavior, take steps to reduce risk, and prevent violence and stalking. The course includes tabletop exercises to provide participants with multiple opportunities to use best-practice procedures. The course is appropriate for participants from multiple sectors, including workplaces, government agencies, military branches, law enforcement agencies, educational settings, mental health facilities, and private security / executive protection. Course fee: $375 per person.
