On May 23, High Sierra AHEC, along with partners from Nevada Primary Care Association, American Cancer Society and Northern Nevada HOPES will provide a presentation to Nevada Community Health center clinical staff members to improve adolescent health services. This presentation will provide newly updated ACIP guidelines for the HPV Vaccination 2-Dose Series.
Learning Objectives:
1. Define the importance of HPV vaccination for cancer prevention and the rationale for vaccination recomendations during health and wellness visits
2. Become familiar with the newly updated ACIP guideline recommendations for HPV vaccinations
3. Provide Useful and compelling information related to HPV and strategies to aid in making the decision to vaccinate
4. Develop strategies to assist in making effective recomendations to increase HPV vaccination rates among adolescent populations

Dr. Natalie Vogel is a board-certified pediatrician at Northern Nevada HOPES, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Reno, Nevada. She is a New Englander at heart, growing up in Massachusetts and attending Dartmouth College for her undergraduate education. She obtained her MD from the University of Massachusettes Medical School before moving Wet to complete her Pediatric Residency at the University of Washington/ Seattle Children's Hospital. Her career began at a large FQHC in Tucson, AZ, El Rio Community Health Center. She then enjoyed a small-town private practice in Chico, CA before following her husband's career to Reno, joining HOPES in 2016 to help expand into pediatric services.
