Workplace violence is any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening disruptive behavior that occurs at the work site.More than two million Americans were the victims of physical attack at the workplace during the past year.  Another six million were threatened, and 16 million were harassed.

Training Objectives
Increase awareness of the potential to violence at work Increase ability to recognize early warning signs of a potentially violent person or situation How to record incidents indicative of potential violence Encourage employees to report suspicious incidents properly Develop and implement a clear policy against violence.

Myths
Violent employees just snap, without warning or clues.
If violent employees provide clues, there should be no incidents of workplace violence.
Individuals who commit workplace violence have lost everything.
