2017 Faculty Excellence Awards

Each year SOCHE hosts an awards banquet honoring faculty from each SOCHE member institution. Academic officers at each university select faculty based on each institution’s criteria, with special consideration of demonstrated excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship throughout the past academic year. This year we will also honor the Diversity and Inclusion Award Winners. We at SOCHE are pleased to announce the 2017-2018 Faculty Excellence Award Winners and the SOCHE Diversity and Inclusion Award Winners on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Dayton Art Institute from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Gothic Cloister. Registration opens at 11:30am.

Check in at the registration table, located in the Rotunda of the Dayton Art Institute, upon arrival to confirm your attendance and for detailed instructions.

This year SOCHE ED will be held the morning of the Faculty Awards Banquet! We have a special rate which includes both the Faculty Awards Banquet AND the SOCHE ED conference. SOCHE ED 2017 will be focusing on student engagement and collaboration for the future. SOCHE is hosting Elizabeth Barkley who will lead a workshop on what does 'student engagement' really mean and how can the higher education community achieve it?

The special event will also feature Gilbert King, the 2013 Dayton Literary Peace Prize Nonfiction Runner Up as the awards banquet keynote speaker. SOCHE looks forward to honoring our 2016-2017 award winners!
