Small Business Marketing:

The "Basics" + Email & Social Media Tips

This free SCORE Seminar offers a Dual Approach to Help You Understand both the Basics of Marketing + Secrets to Effective Use of Email and Social Media.

The Basics portion will cover How to set your Marketing Plan Objectives to Conduct Market Analysis, Evaluate Your Competition and Measure your effort’s Performance.  We'll look at the steps consumers take to make a purchase decision and how you can “tweak” your message for maximum impact.  This part of the seminar will be presented by Longview resident & SCORE Chapter Chairman, Marcel Goulet.

Following a Discussion Break, we'll take up the use of email and social media to inexpensively boost your marketing advantage.  Between Facebook and Twitter, email and mobile, deals, and whatever new social network is rolling out that month, there’s a lot to keep up with. And there are only so many hours in each day, the number of possibilities can feel overwhelming. This session will be chaired by Don Richardson, a Master Certified Solution Provider for SCORE national partner, Constant Contact.  Don will help make sense of the noise.

You’ll be given opportunities to capture your own ideas and build out the framework of your own “next great campaign.”  Join us and start to build a plan that will help you grow your business by eliciting the responses you want from your customers or supporters.

There will be plenty of time for open discussion and questions and local SCORE Business mentors will be on hand to help you navigate the many free SCORE resources available to you.
