Speaker: Laura Ferguson & Sally Miracle
Target Audience: All school staff
Description: When working initially with students with disabilities it is often difficult to understand how to begin to engage the student in instructional practices. Teachers may often see an increase in inappropriate behaviors unless replacement behaviors are taught. In order to teach these replacement behaviors we need to understand reinforcement strategies. This training we will take a look at how to increase compliance without using consequence strategies, but instead teaching replacement behaviors using reinforcement.
