KidStrong Conference 2017:  

Reimagining Time, School and the Future

Make plans now to attend the KidStrong Conference for the Campaign for Grade Level Reading and for Graduation 20/20 on June 21, 22, and 23 in Charleston. Graduation 20/20 schools are asked to send a principal (or a designee) and at least one other Graduation 20/20 Leadership Team member to attend. Early Literacy schools are encouraged to send a principal (or designee) and a member of the school Leadership Team (PK-3rd grade representative, if possible). See information below for complete details.

Please use the following link to see a list of hotels with rooms available at a special conference rate. You are responsible for making your lodging reservations.   Hotels 

Be sure to select Graduation 20/20 or RS3s for Literacy Collaboration from the program-specific menu when you register.

Both Graduation 20/20 and the Literacy Collaboration are closed sessions for the conference; therefore, you won't find an agenda for these sessions on the conference agenda.  The agenda for Graduation 20/20 and Literacy Collaboration will be provided as soon as it is finalized.  What we know so far is the following:

• We will begin on June 21st at noon at the Civic Center
• June 22nd is a full day for Graduation 20/20 and we will meet at the Marriott
• June 23rd is a 1/2 day and will end at noon
• Each school will receive a $1200 grant to help offset the costs associated with the conference
• Check with your county special education director for specifics regarding the use of the grant
• Focus group sessions will be held each day of the conference immediately following the last event for that day; ask your RS3 for more information
