Indian Cooking Class with Pallavi Mehta (5/17/17) 

The world of Indian cuisine comes alive with this hands-on session!  Indian cooking instructor Pallavi Mehta invites you into her home to learn to prepare a traditional Indian dinner.  

Pallavi's menu will feature:

  • Aloo Gobi ( roasted chunks of potatoes and cauliflower) in coconut milk
  • Jeera (cumin) rice
  • Samosas ( triangular shaped turn overs filled with savory meat filling called kheemo)
  • Tandoori Roti (oven-baked flat bread)
  • Semolina Halwa ( Pallavi calls it "Sheero") for dessert
  • Coriander chutney
  • Minty yogurt

This unique and fun opportunity is open only to 8 lucky Culinary Guild members and guests. The event cost is $35 for members and $38 for nonmembers, and includes dinner, beverages, and recipes to bring home.  Attendees will also be bringing home some of the food prepared during the class - don't forget your Tupperware!
