Services for Seniors:
Walk a Mile in Their Shoes

Welcome!

Join us for an informative and interactive training opportunity to learn tips and best practices for service providers working with Seniors.

This workshop will give you hands on simulation exercises to better understand the daily challenges experienced by the senior population. By experiencing their daily challenges and "walking in their shoes" you will be able to not only sympathize but also empathize with aging adults. You will walk away with an increased sensitivity towards the feelings experienced by your older residents when basic skills needed in life are impaired and their independence is compromised.

This training will also share the significance of End of Life Planning and ways to prepare your residents (in advance) for what is to come through being culturally sensitive. We will then have a period of planning monthly calendars with activities and classes that engage your senior residents, then end the day with a list of affirmed Service Providers that have been known for their impactful senior services in the county!
