hosted by the Economic & Entrepreneurial Vitality Task Force at

Bring your toughest problem with a growing or startup business to
this meeting!
We will separate into small groups and learn from each other.

It may be a market, product or founder issue: with a room full of the Upstate's best entrepreneur support professionals engaging their best problem solving skills, we will all learn to serve our businesses better. We will also learn about other experts and resources in our Upstate region who may be just what the entrepreneur needs.

This new series is intended to provide entrepreneur support professionals (anyone in an official position that a small or start-up business person asks for help) preliminary assessment skills so they can more quickly and effectively diagnose the issues and send the business owner to the appropriate resource for help.

The series starts with assessing the business situation with LISTEN & LEAD, then moves to KNOW YOUR RESOURCES where you will learn how to create a resource list with the expertise needed to addresses your business owners’ concerns:  professional services, banking, financing, mentors, manufacturing, fulfillment, logistics, export, and many more.  After that, topics will cover Funding/Capital Sources, Preparation for Funding, International Trade Resources, Understanding the Clients' Customer, State Resources: SC Launch and the Dept. of Commerce; Incubators and Accelerators.

This series is directed to the many government, academic, economic development, chamber, community development and other front-line professionals who are contacted by entrepreneurs and small business owners wanting help to grow a business in their community.  Our Upstate Region has multiple resources to help businesses.  Determining the right resources and where they are becomes the challenge.
