Jordan Jacobs
CEO & Co-Founder, Layer 6 AI

Jordan Jacobs is co-­founder and co-­CEO of Layer 6 AI, which has invented the first SaaS end-to-end Deep Learning Personalized Recommendation, Search & Prediction Engine. Layer 6 AI helps banks, media, cable/telco, healthcare and e-­commerce companies leverage all of their data to understand in real-time each customer’s satisfaction and to personalize each customer experience with world-­leading accuracy. Jordan is also co-­founder and on the Board of Directors of the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence. Jordan previously co-­founded Milq, a cultural content discovery platform that works with organizations like the NBA, NY Times and GOOP. Jordan also founded SpyBox Media, through which he developed and partnered with Elton John to executive produce the TV series Spectacle. Hosted by Elvis Costello, the Emmy-­nominated, Gemini Award winning, NY Times Top 10 TV series features guests including Bono and The Edge of U2, Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Zooey Deschanel, Herbie Hancock, Renée Fleming and President Bill Clinton. Jordan spent 15 years as a media and tech lawyer, advising tech entrepreneurs, Grammy and Oscar winners and sports teams in complex transactions, first at a large firm in Toronto and, for 10 years, at his own firm. He received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, where he was admitted at age 19. Jordan invests in and advises the founders of new technology companies, with a particular focus on AI.

Managing Director, Future Labs

The Future Labs are a network of programs supporting entrepreneurs in technologyspecific verticals such as; Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data at the DataFuture Lab; and Augmented/Virtual Reality, Video, Virtual Machines at the DigitalFuture Lab. The graduate portfolio includes 68 companies, 13 graduating throughacquisitions with industry leading startups like CB Insights, Clarifai, GeometricIntelligence, Tap Commerce among many others. Steven is an adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship at NYU and supports entrepreneurshipcurriculum across the Engineering School, the InnoVention hardware prototypingcompetition, fellowship programs, entrepreneurship club, and entrepreneurship educationprograms such as the Veteran Entrepreneurship Training (VET) Program. Prior to theFuture Labs, Steven founded and co-founded three ventures in mobile, B2B logistics andretail. Steven holds a bachelor’s and a master’s from the NYU Tandon School ofEngineering.
