The North Central Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC)

Iowa Business Opportunity Fair 2017 (IBOF2017)

The North Central Minority Supplier Development Council’s (NCMSDC) Iowa Business Opportunity Fair 2017 (IBOF 2017) is a networking activity between minority businesses and buying companies and government agencies.

IBOF is a forum where minority businesses will meet sourcing and buying professionals for the purpose of discovering contracting opportunities for their company’s products or services.  IBOF is also a forum where buying companies and government agencies will discover new, competitive sources of quality products and services.

The IBOF offers morning Capacity Building Sessions designed to benefit minority businesses, buying companies and government agencies.  The case for supplier diversity will be presented, along with supplier diversity best practices.  Additionally, interactive sessions will cover how to become a preferred business partner and how to maximize your company’s digital presence.

The IBOF Buyers’ Forum is a prescheduled matchmaker between minority businesses across industry sectors and buying companies/government agencies.  Four 30-minute matchmaking sessions are prescheduled between the minority businesses and buying companies/government agencies interested in their products or services. A small number of minority businesses are at each Buyers’ Forum table during each 30-minute session, allowing each business the opportunity to provide their capabilities and capacities in a one-on-one casual roundtable setting. The buying companies/government agencies in-turn get the opportunity to ask questions and to share how to do business with them in this small personable setting.
