2017 Cuyahoga Problem Gambling Symposium
The Cuyahoga Problem Gambling Coalition is proud to host our third annual Cuyahoga Problem Gambling Symposium: Advancing Awareness, Prevention & Treatment in Our Community. The symposium will be held on Friday, June 30th from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Holday Inn Cleveland South - Independence located at 6001 Rockside Rd., Independence, OH 44131. The conference begins promptly at 9:00 am, registration begins at 8:00 am.
The goal of the symposium is to raise awareness of problem gambling in our community, offer clinical trainings to increase problem gambling treatment capacity locally, and provide individuals and families with the tools and resources to respond to problem gambling in their life.
Speakers will include clinical experts, people who have been affected by problem gambling, problem gambling prevention professionals and representatives from the gaming industry.
A total of 5.5 continuing education hours will be available for social workers, counselors, marriage family therapists, chemical dependency professionals and nationally certified gambling counselors.
If you are new to the issue of problem gambling, or a seasoned professional, there will be opportunities at the symposium for you!
